Not long ago Savusavu had a three day carnival celebrating some unknown event or maybe just because. The entertainments were surprising. It started with the police marching band lounging around Watui Marina.
Some of them couldn’t help inspecting the area with eyes trained for inspection.
Others racked up the old sax-a-maphone …
and soon they were marching into town.
K ran after them but by the time he got to the fairground the police marching band was all played out. They had been relieved by the Police Oldies Band. There was a groupie who kept smearing baby powder on their heads even thought they didn’t like it, while they played Kenny Rodgers.
Then a spicy hula dancer appeared from nowhere.
She was working the muddy grass pretty hard and even got a bit flirtatious.
The matronly contingent in the audience sent in their best man-personating clown girl.
This lady had some theatrical chops…
and a large collection of lewd gestures.
Soon this unusually alternate couple found their rhythm to the apparent amusement of everyone,
except the mysterious guests of honor on the police band podium.
